Yesterday's Technology... Today's Skills... Tomorrow's Success!

Our Mission

The Lazarus Foundation is a community-based non-profit computer refurbishing organization located in Columbia, Maryland ruled tax-exempt by the Internal Revenue Service under I.R.C. 501(c)(3).

We were founded to recycle and refurbish unused and outdated computers and technology donated by companies and individuals.  Once the technology is refurbished, we provide it, at a nominal cost, to non-profit organizations and individuals who couldn't afford the high prices of computers.  While the Lazarus Foundation operation has evolved and changed from the beginning, we still have the mission to provide usable technology to organizations and individuals.

We accept donations of computer equipment. Our volunteers test and restore them to working condition. We provide the refurbished/upgraded computers to other charitable organizations and educational institutions. We install the Windows 10 Professional operating system on each computer we provide.

Donate your surplus computer equipment (Pentium IV or faster less than 4 years old and able to run Windows 10) as you upgrade. Your donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowable under the Internal Revenue Code. (Most donors will be able to deduct the fair market value of the equipment at the time of the donation.)

You may also make a tax-deductible monetary contribution. Even with the donation of computer equipment and the volunteers who help, the Foundation incurs other expenses.

The Foundation works out of the The old Bushy Park Elementary School (2670 Route 97, Glenwood, MD 21738), located in Howard County, Maryland.

Talk to your friends, colleagues, and employers and tell them what we are doing to help our communities.
